We’re happy to announce that Corinthia Hotel Khartoum has joined the #protelfamily. Welcome!

Corinthia is a collection of five-star luxury hotels founded by the Pisani family of Malta in 1962 and has expanded its presence to destinations such as London, Prague and St. Petersburg. Corinthia Hotel Khartoum itself is a two hundred and thirty bedroom landmark building located in close proximity to the Nile, in the centre of Khartoum’s commercial district.

All Corinthia hotels feature extensive leisure and business traveller facilities and are renowned for their unique characters. The guest experience is held above all, as Alfred Pisani, Founder and Chairman of Corinthia Hotels, explains:

“Our mission is to provide our guests with this ‘Craftsmanship of Care’. In a world of mass-produced experiences, we offer to our guests the made-to-measure. We believe the attention to detail that elevates a craftsman can similarly elevate the experience of visiting one of our hotels. This sentiment is embedded in everything we do, and everything we say. So what does this mean for our hotels? It means carefully constructing an environment that feels special the moment our guests arrive. It means surrounding them with materials, chosen for their quiet quality and avoiding purposeless display. True power always whispers.”

The recently installed protel PMS and xnPOS EPoS systems, supplied by xnprotel, was extensive, featuring a wide range of modules, to streamline operations for both business and leisure travellers. This included Conference & Banqueting, Sales & Marketing modules, data exports for loyalty and CRM requirements and multiple interfaces to telephone, key card, CRS and accounts systems. The EPoS project included fourteen terminals for all F&B areas, with an integrated stock module. The systems went live in February 2016.

“Our decision to contract with Xn protel was based on a number of factors”, stated Adrian Scerri, Director of MIS for Corinthia Hotels. “We needed a system and supplier that matched our incumbent in terms of suitability for a full service, luxury environment, but that would also provide the ongoing support and service required in one of our more distant locations”.

We’re delighted to see that one of the most traditional luxury brands chose to work with us and our partners from xn protel, we think this is a natural fit! You can read the original press release on our partner’s website here.
